Food for thoughts...

Things have finally been moving steadily for the making of our "baby", i.e. the SMU Gourmet- Organizer/Planner after months of efforts, blood & sweat in ...

...planning, seeking out sponsors, deciding on charity beneficiary, designing publicity emailers, finding recipe submissions, preparing the food for photography, requesting quotations, meet ups with sponsors, photographers, participants, designers etc...
For those of you who are puzzled about what is going on, here is a short explanation of whatI am talking about:
What?
- A school charity project to launch a SMU Gourmet Organizer/Planner cum Recipe Book
Who?
- By SMU Gourmet Club, SMU Office of Study Life and Special Interest and Community Service Sodality
Why?
- Raise funds for 2 community projects in Philippines and China through sale of the organizers.
When?
-To be launched in Oct 2008
So I am totally pleased and eager that there's remarkable progress- it has finally reached the printing stage and what's left is the publicity of the sale of organizers and of cos, payment of the printing and others...

Here's a exclusive preview of my 2 recipes, Cheesy Sausage & Tomato Quiche and Zebra Cake...

Cheesy Sausage & Tomato Quiche (to be featured in the organizer)

and the other one Zebra Cake (Backup submission)

Special thanks to John Nursalim, photographer and the person behind VisualMind LLP (http://www.visualmind.biz/), for making all the food photos to be so yummy-looking.

*More updates after the organizers are printed!
